My objective in producing this cache was to make a super-secure swap spot for geocoins and travelbugs, and to do that it uses the GPSr in a slightly unconventional manner. From the Edith Cavell Bridge, it's a 25 - 30 minute walk / hike along Oxenbridge Tunnel Road and onto the DoC track that leads to the Oxenbridge Tunnel Lookout. The track is well marked and follows The Shotover River upstream beyond the tunnel to the lookout and a wonderful view. Suitable footwear is recommended as at times the track may be muddy, wet or in winter icy in places! A short uphill easy walk to a pleasant lookout with historic interest en route.

A peaceful camping spot on the western edge of Lake Hindmarsh. There are almost always Regent parrots in the trees here. It was a very well used spot till a tree fell over the track about 6 years ago blocking off the best camping areas.
