What a magnificent spot thanks for bringing us here. We were able to get the 4wd's up the track without an difficultly.
The spot is great, however the warnings about the cliff edges warranted.
A quick find and time spent looking at the view and searching for the axe grinding site.
Did this one with Pete and Lis
Thanks for bringing us to such a great spot.

Absolutely spectacular! I don't like heights and there is no way I would bring the kids up here. It was a bit of a white knuckle stroll to the cache.....(ok, it wasn't that bad, but it was still un-nerving).
Another of the 'unfenced cliff' types caches that I am getting done while the geo kids are on holiday in Qld. Fantastic views of Kangaroo Valley.
Did I mention that I don't like heights?

What a beautiful location; on such a lovely fresh morning! The Pirates have been planning this one for a while now and had to wait for the moons to align so we could get there. We drove to within 900 metres of the cache, as we have a ship that is built for fast boarding and not for rough roads.

This is our 100th cache so we wanted it to be special! Coming to sleeping rocks isn’t special; it is spectacular to say the least. And what better way than to sit up there enjoying the view, with a cup of tea and an ANZAC biscuit made by youngest GEO kid.

Oh, yes we found the cache as well!

Lucy and Roo should be congratulated on providing such a beautiful spot for us cachers. I wish we had brought the dog as he would have loved the walk out there. We think Lucy and Roo had a hand in saving Ronnie before he became part of our crew.

Picked up Jeep and dropped off Batman to enjoy the view.

We will be back just for the view; hopefully as the fog is lifting, as that we be awesome also.

P.S. Thanks Mick for supplying the co-ordinates for the Aboriginal rock site.

Absolutely a must for everybody who is in the area! Drove my 2WD up and came within a kilometer of GZ. After that it is really 4WD area. Even 4WD would have been difficult today after a few days of rain! Walking was a hard thing, at least if you try to keep your shoes dry. Best possibility today would have been the MTB.
I took the walking option and enjoyerd every minute of it. Up to 20 meters within GZ I was wondering about the views wich where promised to me, but than it hit me and it took me several minutes to remember what I was here for, just could't take my eyes away from the view!
Finding the cache after that wasn't hard.

After being in the Valley for the day, and having had the Rats highly recommend the cache, we couldn't help but head out here. The in-car GPSr wanted us to head in another way, and as so often is the case would have been horribly wrong. So instead I relied upon Chip and the hand help GPSr. They navigated us perfectly to GZ. Our Subaru Forester made it to GZ without any clearance issues, and with only a couple of shrubs getting a little friendly on the sides.

The views are spectacular and I would highly recommend this one to others! Thanks for bringing us to such a special spot!

Cheers

Hoojar, Ding and I were in the area today and we couldn't resist a cache that had been recommended. We had to rely on the gizmo's navigation as the other talking gizmo was sending us some other way. With a few cautious moments in the car and a few sheepish smiles from me while something scraped against the side we made it close to GZ. Today was quite hazy but it was still an impressive view. We admired all that we could see (sadly there looks like some house development to the left close to the cliff line) but for now the view was spectacular. Hoojar and I located the cache while Ding stayed within the safety of the car (I didn't trust his old eyes with the edge). What surprised me was the coin that I was to place in the cache was exactly the same as i removed, only mine was white and I pulled out brown horse. what are the chances.
Cheers.

With rain in the area I was unsure of what this cache would have install for us. I took a muggle mate who we were camping with and headed out to this cache. The initial part of the access road looked uninviting due the rain but we soon climbed up above the clouds and onto GZ.

We had to walk the last section but were rewarded with some spectacular views at GZ. The sun was shining and the views of our campsite and the surrounding valley were amazing.

TFTC. TNLN Certainly worth the bookmark.

I visited here about 30 years ago and had forgotten it was such an amazing place. The views of Kangaroo Valley are spectacular.
We had to park at the final turn off as owning a Mazda 6 has left us rough-road-challenged, and that was as far as it could go.
A lovely morning hike of about a 1k to the cache.
What an interesting walk, first we passed 2 guys out jogging, to and from where?
Then we saw an Echidna scurrying off and attempting to bury itself set up a good defensive position. Further on at S34 45.928 E150 30.728 we found evidence of Aboriginal people using the area for sharpening tools/weapons in the rock this was worth the tip on its own, I would love to know if there was more known about the people who used the area.
Then we came to the view WOW!
Cache was easily found, thanks, Lucy & Roo
On the way out we saw 3 Black Cockatoo having breakfast a small wallaby and a male Lyrebird, too fast for the camera that one.
Took un-activated geo-coin and dog water bowl
Left Globey TB and yoyo

TheHunterGatherers were waiting for the opportunity to do something special for their 200th find. Little did we know that such a wonderful cache was to appear so close to home. We drove to within a few metres of the trig and had a good look at the amazing view before setting off to find the goods. The largest cache we've seen in a while was easily found in the first place we looked, with a great assortment of goodies inside. If you didn't know what Lucy did for a living you would soon work it out once you saw the contents of this monster cache.

On the way home we witnessed quite a nasty accident on the way down the mountain as some idiot tried to overtake me and a semi on a blind corner. After doing my duty as a traffic controller for half an hour we made it home.

I would highly recommend this cache and have added it to my Best of the Shoalhaven bookmark list. Thanks Lucy and Roo for showing us yet another fantastic location close to home.

I often log on at odd times throughout the day when I'm at home - you never know. Saw this & thought it's not far away. I have been up there twice this year with the intention of finding the other Trig but the weather beat me on both occasions. Yes I had driven as far as THAT sign & turned around but had since confirmed that it has no legal bearing. I was going to leave my next attempt at the Cambewarra Trig (& Red Rocks) until Winter to avoid the snakes (saw 2 today including a brown) but the chances of a FTF was to much to ignore. Drove to the trig & located a substantial cache nearby. Took a lead & left 2 polished stones. Then took a photo of the Trig & admired what must be one of the best vistas I have ever seen. Far superior to the view from the Drawing Room Rocks. I must buy a digital SLR. For those who haven't been up here may I suggest you purchase the walks guide - Kangaroo Valley & adjacent National Parks. Thanks Lucy & Roo for the cache & the amazing view.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Kangaroo Valley is reputedly one of only seven naturally enclosed valley's in the world, the best known example being The Grand Canyon. One can fully appreciate this natural feature from the trig.
